Lack of clarity and confusion in projects
JUTA, a leading manufacturing company, approached us with the need to improve project management. The company faced issues with disorganization and confusion in project management, resulting in unclear project statuses. Project tasks were scattered, often lost in emails, or dealt with informally. Agreements were lost, and people would often learn about things too late or not at all. This made it impossible to respond in a timely manner and ultimately led to confusion and unnecessary project delays. Things simply weren’t under control.
Implementing Jira and Structure
After an initial analysis, we discovered that the situation was more complex than it seemed at first. It was necessary to not only introduce a new tool but also improve the overall methodology and project management processes. We implemented Jira and Structure, which enabled unified tracking of projects and tasks. Jira was used to organize and track daily project tasks, while Structure provided an overview of the entire project portfolio and its status, including a Gantt chart.
Practical approach and training
A key element of our implementation was a practical approach and training. We identified key roles within the company and provided full-day training sessions, where we walked through specific user scenarios with them. This approach ensured that all users were well-acquainted with the new system and knew how to use it effectively.
Relocation of the production hall
One of the key projects we collaborated on was the relocation of the production hall. This complex project involved moving technology and equipment from temporary spaces to a newly built hall. Thanks to the new system, every step of this challenging process could be planned and tracked in detail. More than 800 tasks were recorded in the system, enabling precise coordination and minimizing risks.
Improved transparency and efficiency
The implementation of the new system brought several key benefits to JUTA. First and foremost, transparency improved, as all projects, tasks, and their statuses are now recorded in one place. This allows for timely identification of situations and risks that may jeopardize project delivery and respond accordingly.
The relocation of the production hall was successfully completed thanks to detailed planning and tracking in the new system.
