The IT Project Department at RBP, the largest regional employee health insurance company in the Czech Republic, reached out to us with the goal of maximizing the use of their server-based Atlassian tools. They wanted more efficient management of Atlassian products (without the need for infrastructure management) and needed to optimize their ITSM processes.
Solution
Together, we agreed that, given the planned end of support for server-based Atlassian solutions, it would be best to prepare for the migration to Atlassian Cloud. This allowed us to build the structures from scratch on the new cloud instance and then migrate the server instance into it.
We started the project by optimizing the IT development process and implementing it on the new cloud environment in Atlassian Cloud, followed by user management configuration. Only after that did the test migration take place. Since we needed to fine-tune the process of merging existing data from the original server-based solution with the new cloud setup, along with changes in user management, the test migration had to be repeated several times. Finally, we performed the production data migration into the prepared cloud solution.
