One of the best ways to share your experiences with like-minded people and ask them what they are struggling with or struggling with in their practice. This is because agile management adherents often have no one in their company to consult. This is one of the benefits of the Forum inAgile community event we hosted at MoroSystems in November. More than 40 participants came to Brno. <\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Transparent insight into projects and capacities<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Digital transformation and technological development brings with it the challenges of bridging the gap between IT and the business department. The topic can be generalized as a problem between business and execution. In practice, we see companies struggling with a lack of transparency, scattered information and other obstacles to achieving their goals. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

These two key pillars should not only work together, but trust and understand each other. Indeed, transparency in projects and capacity management plays a crucial role. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Project management and portfolio management<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

According to our Business Unit Manager Jan \u0160patenka<\/a><\/strong> many companies have experienced strong fluctuations in demand in recent months. “The bigger the gap, the more emphasis it puts on capacity planning. In times of stability, you don’t need to do anything special. You plan the same way all the time. But with the oscillations, it’s very challenging for project managers,” explains Jan \u0160patenka. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

MoroSystems Orchestra’s Innovation Architect Lecture responded to these challenges Radek Petr<\/a><\/strong>. Radek pointed out, for example, that capacity planning obstacles cannot be solved by a single instruction or tool across the board. Each company plans in a different way. The only difference is whether it is from day to day or from month to month. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

“Many companies simply don’t have the capacity to tune these processes and tools and need to focus on their core business,” explains Jan \u0160patenka of MoroSystems Orchestra. However, because we are very familiar with this environment, we are able to recommend tailored solutions that will support the achievement of the set goals. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Lost in the processes<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The second Forum inAgile practical lecture was also about trust and engagement. It was prepared by consultant and coach Libor Zakopal<\/a><\/strong>who prefers to build organisms instead of mechanisms in companies. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

He pointed out, for example, that in any organisation we do not function as a separate unit, although we may think we do. And this impression is created, for example, by a lack of communication, complex processes or the daily hustle and bustle. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Libor Zakopal gave, among other things, some tips for interesting books<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n

He gave out some tips to the community on how to improve the environment around you and move your own productivity and results forward. Among other things, Libor was at the beginning of our Jan \u0160patenka’s agile journey. “He is the person who taught me what agile is all about. In his talk, Libor pointed out the viewpoints of different roles in an agile environment. I found that very interesting.” <\/p>\n\n\n\n

According to Jan, the focus is often on one perspective when implementing agile approaches. Here is the agile, agile manifesto and we apply it across the board to an environment that adopts it. The perspectives of the scrum master, product owner or C-level people are often wrongly neglected. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Use case not yet presented<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

“I have not yet encountered anyone presenting a challenge of this magnitude in such detail,” Jan summarizes a very extensive practical example he brought to the conference Lud\u011bk \u0160karoupka<\/a> <\/strong>from Heureka Group.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Lud\u011bk revealed, among other things, how Heureka managed to deal with technological debt and legacy systems. There will be more and more cases like this, where platforms limit companies’ work and hinder their development. In fact, it is not uncommon for companies to build their business on even a twenty-year-old information system. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

There are many ways to address the technology debt. One is to move to a cloud-based solution that enables greater robustness, scalability and security. One of the lessons Lud\u011bk \u0160karoupka brought up is to avoid the imaginary salami method, where only part of the company is dedicated to changing the platform to a new technology. According to practical experience, this is simply not enough. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Discussion and networking<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The advantage of Forum inAgile, which we hosted in November, is the format of the evening. After the practical presentations, speakers and participants divide into groups to discuss the topics further. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

It is a great opportunity to get to know in detail the thinking and ideas behind specific decisions. Thus, the inAgile Forum is not just about passively passing on information. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
